How do we make the most of the last ten nights of Ramadan?
These are tips for you before Ramadan ends and the ten nights pass; perhaps Allah will revive this heart during them.
1) Seek help from Allah
Ask Allah to grant you success in performing righteous deeds during them.
2) Stay away from distractions
I'tikaf was originally prescribed for the heart to be secluded with its Lord; so leave social media. Make your login for acts of worship only, not for aimless browsing.
3) Prepare outwardly
Let me enter your home and feel that you are receiving a dear guest; arrange the prayer area, and prepare the tools of worship, the Mushaf, and the book of supplications.
4) Constantly hold onto this supplication
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah, what do you think I should say in my supplication, if I come upon Laylatul-Qadr?" He said: «Say: 'Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni» (O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me)
If He forgives you, the traces of your sins will vanish, and you will not see them in your record, by Allah's will.
5) Give daily charity
As the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him): «Spend it, Bilal, and do not fear poverty from the Lord of the Throne.»
Feel that Allah has made you a cause for the provision of others. Make a daily charity for yourself; if you cannot, save it every day and give it to a needy person at the end of the ten nights.
6) Feed a fasting person daily
The Messenger of Allah said: «Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person's), without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person»
7) Be keen on Qiyam (night prayer) even if it is only Witr
And remember that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, whoever stands (praying) with the Imam until he finishes, then it is recorded for him that he prayed the whole night.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whosoever performs Qiyam during Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), with Faith and being hopeful of Allah's reward, will have his former sins forgiven."
8) Excel in honoring your parents every day.
9) Do not forget your share of the Quran
O loving trader, the Quran is the foundation; if you can, complete a full recitation in these ten nights once or more. Read approximately three Juz', or at least one Juz', and listen to the Quran.
10) Be keen on this Dhikr every night
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who utters a hundred times in a day these words: 'La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa 'ala kulli sha'in Qadir (there is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him; His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent),' he will have a reward equivalent to that for emancipating ten slaves"
If you do this and it coincides with Laylatul-Qadr, it is as if you freed 300,000 slaves for the sake of Allah. And whoever frees a slave, Allah frees his body from the Fire.
11) Have a hidden good deed
Try to have a righteous deed every night that no one knows about; such as sending money to a needy person, bringing joy to a Muslim's heart, or reconciling between disputing parties. This strengthens your sincerity to Allah.
12) Seeking forgiveness before dawn (Al-Ashar)
If it coincides with Laylatul-Qadr, it will be written in your scales as more than thirty thousand nights in which you were among those seeking forgiveness before dawn.
13) Supplicate to Allah and wish for what you love
Increase your supplications every night, ask for what you love, and use the supplications from the Quran and Sunnah.
14) Show Allah your sincerity
Say to Him: "O Lord, I do not deserve mercy, forgiveness, and Your love; but treat me as befits Your Majesty, not as I deserve. You are capable of forgiveness and of lifting me from the depths of distance to the heavens of closeness to You."
15) Read Surah Al-Qadr
Read it in your voluntary prayers every night, try to reflect on its meanings, read its Tafsir, and renew its meanings in your heart.
