About the postion -
The Fundraising Coordinator plays a key role in growing Naseeha's community of supporters, volunteers, and donors. This position blends volunteer management, campus and community relationship-building, sponsorship acquisition, and event support to strengthen Naseeha's fundraising capacity and public presence. The ideal candidate is personable, outgoing, and organized, with strong relationship-building skills and comfort representing Naseeha in front of diverse audiences.

Volunteer Management
Recruit, onboard, and maintain a strong, active database of volunteers to support Naseeha's programming and events
Match volunteers to opportunities based on interest and availability, and maintain ongoing communication to keep volunteers engaged
Brainstorm and initiate ongoing volunteer activities to keep volunteer database engaged
Coordinate with university and college students to establish Naseeha clubs or chapters on campus
Build and maintain relationships with MSA chapters and other student interest groups to develop partnerships that support Naseeha's mission
Serve as Naseeha's point of contact for campus-based outreach and engagement initiatives
Sponsorships & Partnerships
Identify, approach, and secure sponsors for Naseeha's events
Establish and initiate partnerships with community groups, businesses, and institutions to garner funding and support for Naseeha
Maintain relationships with existing sponsors and partners to encourage continued support
Outreach & Representation
Attend tabling opportunities and events that Naseeha is sponsoring or participating in, representing the organization professionally
Conduct outreach and collect donations at community events and tabling opportunities
Serve as a public-facing representative of Naseeha, communicating the organization's mission and services to the community
Event Planning & Execution
Support the planning and execution of offline events, both for community engagement and fundraising purposes
Coordinate event logistics, including venue, materials, volunteers, and vendor/sponsor coordination
Track event budgets and expenses in coordination with the finance team
Support post-event follow-up, including donor and sponsor acknowledgment
Donor Management
Support major gift and offline donor stewardship efforts, including outreach and relationship-building activities
Maintain and update Naseeha's donor database, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping
Review donor data and prepare monthly or quarterly reports on giving trends and engagement
Initiate and test new approaches to improve and monitor donor engagement and the overall donor journey

2+ years of experience in fundraising, community outreach, volunteer coordination, or a related role (nonprofit experience an asset)
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with comfort engaging students, community leaders, and donors
Experience with event planning and execution is an asset
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships and deadlines simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable with occasional evening/weekend availability for events and tabling opportunities
Willingness and ability to travel locally/regionally for events, campus visits, and community meetings
Proficiency with common productivity and CRM/database software (e.g., Asana, Google Workspace, donor/volunteer management platforms)
Alignment with and sensitivity to Naseeha's mission and the communities we serve
Must be eligible to work in Canada
