Abuzar Abbas is a compassionate mental health professional with nearly a decade of experience in supporting individuals through addiction recovery, trauma, and co-occurring mental health challenges. With a foundation in Addictions Counselling and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the University of Toronto (OISE), he provides holistic, evidence-based care grounded in empathy and cultural sensitivity.

• About Me

  My journey in mental health began in 2016 with a focus on supporting people navigating addiction, trauma, and complex emotional struggles. Over the years, I’ve worked with diverse populations and specialize in helping individuals facing dual diagnoses. My work is grounded in respect, harm reduction, and empowerment. I strive to meet clients where they are emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, while helping them build hope and resilience through personalized care.

  I use a client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally aware approach, integrating:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

  • Strengths-Based Therapy

  • Crisis Intervention & Trauma-Sensitive Practices

  I honor each client’s identity, including their relationship with culture, faith, and community, and tailor sessions to support both emotional growth and practical change.

  Free 15 minute consultation

  Individual Therapy: $160

  Individual Therapy EXTENDED: $230

  Couple / Family Therapy: $200

  Couple / Family Therapy Extended: $290

  Sliding Scale:

  Our Income-Based assistance program is for eligible individuals that can get therapy at a reduced rate, based on a sliding scale.
