EVEN PROPHET MUSA WAS BULLIED

(A story of childhood pain, insecurity, and the courage to rise above it)

Growing Up Under Oppression and Mockery

Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) grew up in a society where his people — the Children of Israel — were humiliated, beaten, and oppressed.
He witnessed injustice from a young age.
He saw people mocked for their identity, their beliefs, and their weakness.

Musa himself struggled with a speech difficulty, and because of that, people belittled him, doubted him, and dismissed him.
Pharaoh mocked him openly.
People questioned his ability to speak, to lead, or to stand up to power.

Yet Musa didn’t let their bullying define him.
Despite fear, insecurity, and social pressure, he rose to become one of the strongest and most courageous prophets — confronting the most powerful tyrant in history.

His story shows that the ones who are underestimated often become the ones Allah strengthens the most.

Key lesson: Being mocked doesn’t make you weak, responding with courage and faith makes you unstoppable.
Your struggles don’t disqualify you; they prepare you.

His Duʿā — The Prayer of Regret and Hope

“My Lord, expand my chest, ease my task, and remove the knot from my tongue so they may understand my speech.”

— (Surah Taha, 20:25–28)

This duʿā is the voice of someone who felt insecure, doubted, and judged, yet asked Allah to turn his weakness into strength.

Mental health reflection:

Bullying leaves emotional scars:
self-doubt, fear of speaking, shame, and loss of confidence.
Prophet Musa’s life shows that even individuals who feel “not good enough” can grow into leaders when they rely on Allah.

His duʿā is a healing tool for anyone who struggles with expressing themselves, fears judgment, or carries the weight of being belittled.

Your worth is not defined by people who mock you — it is defined by Allah, who knows your heart and potential.
