Nuzhat is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and additional qualifications in Addictions and Mental Health. Having lived across East Africa, East Asia, and North America, she brings a deep understanding of cultural diversity and a passion for serving South Asian Muslim communities through stigma-free, culturally responsive care.

• About Me

  I am an immigrant to Canada and have lived in three different continents (East Africa, East Asia, North America). Throughout my journey and interactions with various local communities, I have witnessed the stigma surrounding mental health and a lack of support, especially amongst South Asian Muslims. Therefore, I am passionate about providing culturally responsive therapy and working towards dispelling such stigmas.

• Approach

  I use an integrative and relational approach, grounded in the belief that each individual is unique, resilient, and capable of reaching their full potential. I have extensive experience working with youth and families, and also work with couples, seniors, and adults.

• Fees

  Free 15 minute consultation

  Individual Therapy: $160

  Individual Therapy EXTENDED: $230

  Couple / Family Therapy: $200

  Couple / Family Therapy Extended: $290

  Sliding Scale:

  Our Income-Based assistance program is for eligible individuals that can get therapy at a reduced rate, based on a sliding scale.
